APPLICABILITY

 

 


This rate shall be applied to any customer which discontinues all or a portion of all requirements firm sales service from the Department when: (1) the customer had an average billing demand of 500 kW or greater for the most recent calendar year; (2) the customer obtains electric service from a source other than the Department; and (3) the customer remains within the Department's service area. This rate shall be applied to all customers receiving service under the Department's Partial Requirements Service tariff.

 

 

DEFINITIONS

 


Firm Standby Contract Demand:
the maximum firm standby electric power demand which the Customer shall impose on the Department as specified by the Customer.

Reference Demand: the maximum metered demand occurring in the 12 month period immediately prior to the customer's receiving service from a source other than the Department.

Billing Demand: the Firm Standby Contract Demand if the customer
receives standby service from the Department, otherwise the Reference Demand. All demands refer to fifteen (15) minute kW demands.

 

 

 

BILLING PERIODS

 

 


Billing shall be done a calendar month basis.

 

 

 

MONTHLY RATES

 

 


Stranded Cost Charge: $11.52 per kW of Billing Demand

 

 

 

TERM OF CONTRACT

 

 


Unless otherwise agreed in writing, service under this rate shall be for a period of not less than five years. Service is also subject to the provisions of the Rules and Regulations of the Department.
