AVAILABILITY |
|
|
Service under this rate is available solely at the discretion of the Manager of the Department. This service is available to any customer who wishes to receive electric service from MMED at primary voltage of 13.8 kV nominal. The customer shall, at no expense to the Department, furnish, install and maintain all necessary distribution equipment and service lines from the property line on a street upon which primary lines of the Department are located. These primary lines must be adequate for the intended service.
The customer must provide and maintain switchgear which shall include current and potential transformers for the Department's metering equipment. All of this equipment shall be installed and maintained in a manner satisfactory to the Manager of the Department. No portion of the energy supplied under this rate shall be resold.

Customer Charge:
$20.00 per monthly billing period
Distribution Demand Charge:
Gross: $10.15 per kilowatt of demand
Net: $8.12 per kilowatt of demand
Generation Charge:
As provided in the Department’s “Generation Charge” tariff, M.D.P.U. #128

MINIMUM
CHARGE |
|
|
The minimum charge will be the Customer Charge plus the Distribution Demand Charge for each month. The Distribution Demand Charge shall not be less than a charge equal to 80% of the highest 15 minute demand in kilowatts occurring during the prior 11 months or less than a demand charge of $812.00 for 100 kilowatts per month, whichever is greater.

DISCOUNT |
|
|
A twenty percent (20%) discount is allowed on the Distribution Demand Charge if payment is received at the Department's office not later than 15 days from the billing date. No discount is allowed when arrears are due. Such discounts do not apply to the Generation Charge or the Customer Charge.

DETERMINATION
OF BILLING DEMAND |
|
|
The billing demand for each month under ordinary load conditions shall be a number of kilowatts equal to the greatest 15 minute peak occurring during such month, but shall not be less than 80 % of the greatest 15 minute peak occurring during the preceding 11 months.
Any 15 minute peaks occurring not more than 11 months prior to the application of the pertinent rate shall be considered as having been established under said rate. A 15 minute peak shall be deemed to be either the average rate at which electricity is delivered in any 15 minute period as measured in kilowatts or 90% of the said average as measured in kilovolt amperes, whichever is greater.

TERMS OF

Customers served under this rate must provide the Department with three years prior written notice before installing or allowing to be installed for its use a non-emergency generator with a nameplate capacity greater than the nameplate generation capacity in place in the customer's location as of the effective date of this Tariff.

|
The Mansfield Municipal Electric Department’s Terms and Conditions for Service as in effect from time to time, where not inconsistent with any provision hereof, are part of this rate.
