AVAILABILITY

 

 


Any customer requiring the use of the Department's facilities for the transmission of scheduled non-firm power.

 

 

APPLICABILITY

 


1. Executed written service agreement.
2. All equipment or facilities required to provide service not normally provided shall be paid for by the customer.
3. The Department's obligation to provide service is limited to those periods where power is received for transmission.
4. Customer is responsible for all arrangements and scheduling of power with supplying parties and the Department on a daily basis or as mutually agreed to.
5. The Department will provide service subject to the requirements of its firm requirements service customers, customers receiving service under Firm Transmission Service agreements, and customers receiving service under Non-Firm Transmission Service Agreement.
6. Customer shall install at its expense any metering requirements which may be determined by the Department.

 

 

MONTHLY CHARGES

 


Demand Charge:
$4.22 per kW month of demand actually delivered.
The charge will be prorated for periods of less than one month, with a minimum transaction period of one week.

 

 

ADJUSTMENT TO BILLING DEMAND

 


Line Loss Adjustment: 3% of all deliveries

 

 

POWER FACTOR REQUIREMENT

 


Customer's power factor shall be maintained at 90%. Any power factor below 90% shall be adjusted to 90% by the Department as follows:

Billing Demand X 90%
Adjusted Billing Demand = Actual Power Factor (in percent)

The power factor calculation will be at the time of maximum demand or based on a monthly average, whichever is lower. The Department may also require the customer to install power factor correction equipment.
