Since 2016, MMED rates for all customer classes have been within the lowest 10% in cost of service among all electric utilities in Massachusetts.
Joe Sollecito, General Manager of MMED, attributed such long term success to both the employees of Mansfield Electric as well as the Board of Commissioners.
“We can only achieve such a long standing track record of reliable and affordable cost of service because of the incredible talent and dedication of our employees who not only do outstanding work each day but also respond immediately when emergencies occur,” Sollecito said. “Additionally, the Board of Commissioners has always supported the need to invest back into the electrical system while keeping electric service rates affordable for all customers within the Town of Mansfield.”
Mansfield Electric was established in 1903 and is one of 40 publicly owned electric utilities in Massachusetts.
